Saturday 26 May 2023, MAUK 60+ Sisters Club members went on their first group outing, since the Pandemic. On route to Southend seaside, the minibus was lively with chit-chats, jokes, anthakshari and snacks. Six hours later, after a sightseeing tour on an open-top bus, a train ride to the longest pier in the world, lots of sunshine and cool seaside breeze and a scrumptious freshly made fish n chips, the return journey was muted and boring.
But everyone had a great, fun-filled day out and is looking forward to the next outing.
