Lunch Club Sponsorship Request

MAUK Thursday Lunch Club, part of MAUK Elders Services, has been functioning since 1998. This tailor-made service is a unique platform for Elders in our community to meet, chat and share their cultural identity and everyday experiences. Participants of the Club enjoy a variety of activities, including card and board games, exercise classes, knitting, arts and crafts, poetry, film, picnics, trips, etc. Kerala lunch, freshly cooked on the premises, is also served weekly.

The Thursday Club, now part of the London Borough of Newham Warm Centre, is essential to the local population and currently has around 50 regular participants. To generate revenue to keep this vital service operating smoothly and cater to the increasing demand, we invite kind-hearted individuals and community-spirited businesses to sponsor one day at The Thursday Club. You can sponsor as part of your celebrations of an auspicious occasion, in memory of someone beloved, to promote your business or to support this essential service.

So far, we had a great response from our community, with over 22 sponsors coming forward to sponsor a day in 2024. We are seeking sponsorship for another 23 days. We are requesting a minimum donation of £125 for one day which is roughly half the operational cost for the day.
