The Malayalee Association of the UK (MAUK) will celebrate Ponnonam 2026 on 12 September 2026. As part of the Onam celebrations, MAUK will once again honour outstanding individuals and organisations who have made significant contributions to the Malayalee community across the world.
The awards will be presented during Ponnonam 2026, taking place at Eastbury Community School, Barking and will recognise excellence across a range of fields, including leadership, business, voluntary service, arts and culture, education and community service.

Last year’s award recipients were honoured in the presence of distinguished guests, including Vikram Doraiswami, Sir Stephen Timms, Rajmohan Unnithan and Uma Kumaran. The 2026 awards will likewise be presented by distinguished personalities of a similar standing.

The nomination process for deserving individuals and organisations has now officially opened. Those shortlisted will be honoured during the Ponnonam celebrations.

The closing date for nominations is 22 August 2026.
