On Saturday, 21 Septemberc2024, we are excited to invite children from the local community to MAUK Tharavadu at Kerala House to celebrate Pilleronam (Children’s Onam). Traditionally, children eagerly await the arrival of Onam, the celebration of ‘Oneness’. It is a time of festivities, with families gathering at the ancestral home to exchange gifts, engage in traditional cultural activities, play games, and enjoy extravagant meals. MAUK Pilleronam aims to recreate the traditions of Onam in an interactive, entertaining, and educational way. The event will feature a puppet show, cultural performances, athappoove (flower carpet) designing, Onam games, and a delicious Sadhya (feast) with an exciting twist! Additionally, there will be a Kalari (Martial arts) demonstration and workshop, and every attendee will receive an Onam gift from a special guest.
